Settings (Config) & IT Tokens
The Config tab opens the Settings screen — your account, sync preferences, support contact, About info, and Sign Out. The tab is labeled Config to fit the bottom tab bar; the screen header says Config to match. The docs and your administrator call this same screen “Settings” for short.
Screen layout
[SCREENSHOT: settings-screen.png — mobile, the Settings (Config) screen showing the optional Resume Active Inspection banner at the top, then Sync Preferences, Support, About 1nspecT sections, and the red-bordered Sign Out button at the bottom.]
The screen has up to five sections, depending on your state:
- Resume Active Inspection (only visible when you have an in-progress inspection)
- Sync Preferences
- Support
- About 1nspecT
- Sign Out
Each is described below.
1. Resume Active Inspection
When you have an inspection in progress on this device, a large blue 🚀 RESUME ACTIVE INSPECTION button appears at the top of the screen. The button shows the property address as a subtitle so you can confirm which inspection you’ll resume before tapping.
Tap it to jump directly to the Capture Screen for that inspection — no need to navigate back through Home → Assigned Inspections to find it.
If you have no inspection in progress, this section is hidden. The next thing you see is Sync Preferences.
2. Sync Preferences
A single toggle:
| Setting | Default | When you’d enable it |
|---|
| Upload Media over Cellular | OFF | When you want photos and videos to upload during the inspection rather than waiting for Wi-Fi |
When off (the default), photo and video uploads only run on Wi-Fi. Text data (findings, captions, narratives, ratings) syncs regardless — only the heavier media files are gated.
When on, photos and video upload over 5G / LTE the moment you have signal. Faster delivery to the office; uses cellular data.
The toggle is saved immediately to local storage and applies to all current and future uploads.
Tip: leave this off unless you have an unlimited data plan and your office needs photos in real-time. Most inspectors leave it off; everything syncs as soon as they get back to Wi-Fi, which is usually within an hour.
See Offline & Sync for the full picture of how the upload queue handles different network states.
3. Support
Tapping Contact Support opens your email app with a new message pre-addressed to support@mymavtech.com and pre-filled with diagnostic information. The body looks like:
Describe the issue, including steps to reproduce:
— DIAGNOSTIC INFO (do not edit) —
Version: 2.1.0
Runtime: 2.1.0
Platform: ios 17.4
Tenant: your-company-slug
Inspector: you@example.com
Captured: 2026-05-08T14:23:18.421Z
You type your description above the diagnostic block, then send. The support team sees your version, tenant, and inspector identity immediately — no round-trips for “what tenant are you on?”
Don’t have an email app configured? The button shows: “Email Unavailable — No email app configured. Please email support@mymavtech.com directly.”
4. About 1nspecT
The About section is informational. It contains:
| Item | Behavior |
|---|
| Version | Shows the app version (e.g. 2.1.0) and the runtime version if they differ |
| Privacy Policy | Opens https://1nspect.app/terms in your browser |
| Terms of Service | Opens https://1nspect.app/terms (same page — Privacy and Terms live together) |
| User Guide & Help | Opens https://help.1nspect.app/ — the canonical user-guide portal |
| Copyright footer | ”© 2025 MAVTech LLC. All rights reserved.” |
About the Privacy / Terms URLs: both rows currently point to the same page. The page renders both policies. They are listed as separate items because users expect to find each by name.
5. Sign Out
The red-bordered Sign Out button at the bottom of the screen ends your session.
When you tap it, a confirmation alert appears:
Sign Out
Are you sure you want to sign out?
[Cancel] [Sign Out]
Tap Sign Out in the alert to confirm. Firebase signs you out, and the app returns to the Login screen automatically.
What sign-out does NOT do
- It does not delete local inspection data. In-progress and archived inspections on this device remain. When you (or another inspector) sign in, the data is still there.
- It does not invalidate sessions on other devices. If you are signed in on a tablet AND a phone, signing out on the phone does not affect the tablet.
- It does not stop pending uploads. If you have photos still uploading when you sign out, they continue in the background under your previous session — unusual, but harmless.
To fully clear local data, delete the app and reinstall (iOS) or Settings → Apps → 1nspecT → Storage → Clear Data, then reinstall (Android). Both are destructive — confirm everything has synced first.
IT Tokens — what’s on mobile vs web
Important: the mobile app does not display your IT token balance, and there is no top-up purchase flow on mobile. Token balance and top-ups are managed in the web admin by your administrator.
This is deliberate — mobile is a field-capture tool, not a billing surface. Apple and Google place restrictions on B2B in-app purchase flows, and your administrator usually wants to control token spend at the company level rather than have individual inspectors purchase on the spot.
Where to view and manage tokens
| Action | Where |
|---|
| View current IT balance | Web admin → Settings → Subscription & Tokens |
| Buy a top-up pack | Web admin → Settings → Subscription & Tokens → Purchase Top-Up |
| See per-operation costs | This guide’s AI Features page |
What happens when you run out of tokens
If your tenant’s IT balance hits zero while you’re in the middle of an inspection, the next time you tap an AI button you’ll see an alert like:
Insufficient IT Tokens
Vision Analysis requires 8 IT. Purchase a top-up pack in Settings.
The “Settings” referenced in this alert is the web admin Settings, not the mobile Config tab. Your administrator (or your account, if you are the admin) tops up there; the new balance is available to mobile inspections within seconds.
Your inspection work continues normally — only AI generation is blocked. Captions, photos, narratives, ratings, and report finalization all keep working without tokens.
What’s not on this screen (yet)
The Settings screen is intentionally minimal. Things that aren’t here but may be elsewhere:
| You’re looking for | Where to find it |
|---|
| Switch tenants / companies | Not supported — one inspector account = one tenant. Contact your administrator if you’ve changed companies. |
| Push notification preferences | Not yet — controlled by device OS settings (Settings → Notifications → 1nspecT) |
| Light vs dark mode | Not yet — the app follows your device system theme |
| Inspector profile / signature | Web admin → Inspector profile |
| Pricing rules / fees | Web admin → Pricing Manager |
| Calendar integration | Web admin → Calendar |
| Sign-out from all devices | Not yet — sign out per device individually |
If you need any of these added to mobile, mention it in a Contact Support email and the request goes straight to the product team.
Apple App Store framing
You’ll notice this screen has no “Subscribe”, “Free Trial”, or “Upgrade” wording — the language is intentional. 1nspecT mobile is registered with the App Store as a B2B companion app: accounts are provisioned and paid for by the company, not purchased by individual users from within the app. Apple’s review guidelines (specifically 3.1.1 / 3.1.3) require this framing for B2B apps.
This means there is no IAP (in-app purchase) flow on mobile, no “Sign up” or “Subscribe” button, and no payment screen. All those flows live on the web admin and are managed by the company administrator.
